We are a full service wedding planning and design firm specializing in creating unique and memorable events. By combining talents - Meredith, with her creative flair, and Reta, with her business savvy -French 75 Events can assist any bride toward accomplishing her perfect wedding vision. Engaging our network of independent vendors allows us to offer a variety of appropriate choices accommodating any size wedding.

10 things you didn't know about Meredith....

1. I LOVE to shop (who doesn't?) for anything, and I am a sucker for a sale.

2. After I spent two summers in Paris, I tried to stay in France at the end of the second summer. That didn't work out so well.

3. I graduated from Meredith College where I had a fantastic four years!

4. Thinks every outfit needs a statement piece.

5. I am a Certified Wedding Planner from the Wedding Planning Institute, which means I actually went to school to learn all about this fun stuff!

6. Growing up, never in a million years did I think I would be partners in business with my mother.

7. I enjoy sewing and want to learn how to quilt. One of the few things I can sit down and do for hours.

8. LOVES DRESSES (and summer).

9. This whole business idea started years ago when my friends were all getting married and I thought "well, how fun is this?! It is a big party for a happy occasion!"

10. One thing that I would absolutely adore for my wedding is a honeymoon in Paris, of course!!!

"Why French 75?"

As we began thinking about our passion for creating incredible events, we wanted a theme that would best describe the services we can offer brides and their wedding parties. By combining our talents, we believe we offer a unique service. Both Meredith and Reta have traveled to Paris and fell in love with the style and fashion that is representative of the city. We found a drink whose history signifies how powerful and more effective our team can be.

As we began researching signature drinks, we found the French 75 cocktail. Wikipedia offers this description:
"The French 75 is a cocktail made from gin, champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. There is some controversy over whether the cocktail was originally made with gin or with cognac and champagne. The drink was originally concocted by the Franco-American World War I flying ace Raoul Lufbery, who was part of Escadrille Americaine air fighting unit. Legend has it that he liked champagne, but wanted something with more of a kick to it, so he mixed it with cognac which was readily available. The combination was said to have such a kick that it felt like being shelled with the powerful French 75mm howitzer artillery piece, also called a "French 75", or "Soixante Quinze" in French. The French 75 was popularized in America at the Stork Club."
